In 2006 I moved to Iquitos Peru, where I now work as an English teacher. I am a native son of The Netherlands, born in a town called Son. I also lived in France, Belgium and the United States, where I worked as a freelance reporter, writer and AIDS prevention worker. After visiting Iquitos as a tourist in 2005, this city has stolen my heart and I have decided to make it my permanent home.

hi gart i thought to come back to ikitos this end of the year but i got a kinda rare job , im teachin some jewish religion and i think my boss wnats to send me to bolivia but i wanna cry you know jajajaja i dont like bolivia, theres not beaches there. its cold all the time. my god , even though i dont know whats gonna happen with my future yet any way, talkin bout ya i wanna kongratulations garsito ya are in another good english skool. but gart what do you think bout the teachin methodology in the foreing language centre ?? i didnt like it coz it was a classic teachin ticha speakin and studens listenin and repaetin. i didnt really like it, thats why i desided to give it up. but i dont know how it is now however ya'll do very good coz ya are a good ticha and ya always do yo best !!! good luck gart and kongratulations again
